Junior Tennis Starts March 8th

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Spring is close and the Seven Hills junior tennis program is starting to heat up! Carlos and I have decided to get things started a week earlier this year with junior clinics kicking off on March 8th. The Spring program will run for 12 weeks with no breaks (we will be here during your Spring Break) and end May 28th just before the Summer program starts.

Kids are welcome to join the Junior clinics at any time during the Spring session. There is nothing to fill out.  Just show up with a tennis racquet and we will take care of the rest. Please e-mail me with any questions or concerns.

Pee-wees (ages 4-6) will be on Wed and Fri from 3:45-4:30, cost will be $110 for 10 sessions, $150 for 15 sessions

7-10 yr olds will be Mon (4:15-5:15) and Wed (4:30-5:30)

11 & up will be Tue & Thur from 4:15-5:15, Cost will be $140 for 10 session, $195 for 15 sessions.

If buying a package of sessions does not work for you, we can discuss an alternative. Classes will be held with temperatures above 45 degrees at start time. Checks should be made out to ‘Beau Shupe’, not Seven Hills.

Hope to see everyone soon!

Thanks,

We LOVE Tennis

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Seven Hills offers one of the city’s most active tennis programs. Our seven hard courts stay busy eight months of the year. We have seven outdoor courts with lights. A covered observation deck stands in the middle, allowing you to watch a match on any court. There is also an air-conditioned pro shop and lounge with restrooms.

Tennis Director Beau Shupe and Head Pro Carlos Macioch run the busy junior, women’s and men’s programs. Junior lessons are offered from March through November for enthusiasts ages 4 and up. In the summer, juniors also compete in local league play.

The women’s program offers team tennis for singles, doubles and working women. The women compete in NALTA, MTTL and USTA. Weekly clinics are also available, as are private and group lessons.

The men’s program fields teams that compete in MTTL. The popular Tuesday Men’s Night offers instruction followed by match play.

On the social side, tennis round-robins are held throughout the year. The Fourth of July parent-child event is a favorite. Adult round-robins on summer nights and holidays are also popular.
