Lifeguards
We are looking for Red Cross, CPR and first aid certified lifeguards! Applicants must have a positive, professional attitude and be a team player. Applicants must also have a flexible / open work schedule that includes availability for mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays, as well as during the end of summer season through September. Employees must be a minimum of 15 years of age and must have current Red Cross Professional Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid training with proof of certification. Training must be completed prior to official hiring. We do not accept Ellis lifeguard certification. Employees should possess the following characteristics: dependability, responsibility, assertiveness, and attentiveness. Responsibilities include safety and pool coverage, administration of first-aid and lifeguard safety skills, cleaning and trash disposal, following directions from head guards and management, and explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of patrons.

Your resume should include any work experience (if applicable), leadership experience, and service/clubs, awards, and extracurricular activities. Please also include your summer availability, including holidays, weekends, and August and September. Inquiries, cover letters, resumes, or applications that are completed by or communicated by parents will not be considered for hiring.
ABOUT THE HIRING PROCESS
Upon receipt of resume and cover letter, you may be asked to officially apply for a position. The online application will be emailed out, and will require contact information for references, background information, and work experience.
Once the official application has been reviewed, further inquiries and/or interview requests will be communicated via email.
Priorities for employment are given first to experienced, returning guards, then given to applicants based on experience, membership status, and staffing needs.
While we do not guarantee hours, any new employee must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, including Memorial Day weekend and the 4th of July.
Official hiring will be communicated directly to the applicant prior to summer season.
